It's A Good Day!

Hey Y’all! Happy Thursday! Today I wanted to share a short post on what’s been happening this past week with me. I’m currently working at The Range in Lubbock, TX. Seriously the most laid-back job!Who doesn’t love getting to hang out with friends, having a cold beverage on a hot day, and hitting golf balls!? I’ve only been working here for a month or so but am loving it so far and looking forward to busy days in the summer. Last Friday April 6th I was walking the range picking up golf baskets, the wind was starting to pick up and the weather was turning ugly. When I stood up from picking up a basket, I was hit right above the eye with a golf club, back swing. I first stood there in shock, and then just started to walk back to the range house when everyone started to run to me to make sure I was ok. Yes, I was OK! Thankfully I was not hit hard enough to knock me out or even knock me to my feet. I started to cry but only because of everyone’s reaction. Then again when I looked at my face, the bump on my face was golf ball size or bigger. Its been almost a week now from the accident and I am healing well, no fractures or mayor injuries, just swelling and bruising. Thank you all for keeping up with me and understanding why I have been MIA this week. I promise to get back on track as soon as I am completely healed. Today I posted a photo of one of my favorite T-shirts from Hollister “It’s a good day”. Reminding me that even though we have our bad days there is always a good day to come. I try and always look for the good in all situations, from this one just being thankful that my injury did not do any major damage to my face.
Look forward to healing fast and posting soon!
XOXO-Katie

Engagment Story

Calvin and I landed in San Diego, California Wednesday evening and headed straight to our destination in La Jolla, a small tourist town right outside of San Diego. I was so ready to go down to the beach and relax but Calvin insisted that we get ready for dinner and then go to the beach. I asked Calvin what should I wear something casual or dressy he says he’s going to dress casual so I’m thinking dinner is nothing fancy and we are just going to go down to the beach and watch the sunset before dinner. We get down to the “spot” right off the La Jolla cove, this view is amazing!! I see stairs and immediately want to go down but Calvin insisted again that we should go where there is less people, so he starts walking towards people?? Half way to the bridge where he wants to go he then stops and says wait lets go back so there we go turning around going down to the same stairs I had originally said lets go to. Little did I know that he was trying to figure out the spot the p...

Grateful for Twenty-Three

Good Morning Loves! Today's my BIRTHDAY, I am turning 23 years old the oldest I've ever been! Seem like now-a-days the years just keep going by faster, but I am thankful to have lived another one. This morning I am celebrating with my family and three banana pancakes, from the best granny. To continue the celebration Calvin and I are headed to San Antonio this weekend. I am so excited to have a fulfilled weekend with him doing some of my favorite things. Thursday we plan on going out on the town for a little dancing, Friday we are floating the river, and Saturday calls for a relaxing spa day.  This shoot has to be one of my favorites, we took these pictures at a local Ice Cream Shop Holly Hops. What's a better way to celebrate your birthday than with some cake batter ice cream?! SOO DELICIOUS! Todays outfit is so fun and bright. Who else loves wearing yellow in the summer? Brings out your tan, even if you don't have one. LOL Hoping to add some color to me t...

Home Decor

JANUARY HOME DECOR   Hola F riends! Happy Friday!! Today I am sharing a few home décor items that I have decorated the house with lately.. starting with the fact that everything I have linked is pretty much under $20! Anyone else feel like their house looks so empty without Christmas décor everywhere?! In our house we basically have two living rooms, one we use as a tv room and the other has been completely empty until now. Calvin got me couches for Christmas and I put our Christmas tree up in there this year so its slowly starting to look like a 'living room'. Living in a small town there are not many options to shop home décor. Believe it or not I get most of my home décor from our store in Fort Stockton, TX Ace Home Center and Dollar General! You'd be so surprised on what you can find and how affordable it is. Everything I have pictured is linked and you can shop instantly through this page. I'm still slowly adding more décor to our front living room so stay tu...
