Stripe Crepe Romper

Hello Friends, Happy Friday & Happy June! June by far has to be my favorite month, maybe because it's my birthday month or maybe because it's the start of summer, who knows! All I know is that the summer weather has most definitely started to kick in. When is it actually okay to go outside? 90 degrees in the morning and 110 degrees in the afternoon geezzzz. This week I have started the moving process to Monahans, TX with my boyfriend and I am so excited to see what the future holds for us. Especially because he's been living in a man cave and I can't wait to transform our house into a HOME. Lots of home décor tips coming soon! Today I want to share with you this fun off the shoulder romper, that I wore last weekend for my brothers graduation.
First things first I am LOVING stripes right now. I've found myself wearing all kinds of different colors of stripes. This fun, Stripe Crepe Romper is from Forever 21 and a must have in your closer. You can't go wrong with staple black and white stripes, perfect for date night. Living in West Texas and finding something that you can wear and be comfortable in at the same time is not always the easiest. I am loving that this romper is so light-weight and gives you plenty of room to breath. Oh and did I mention it's half off right now and only $12!!! YES ONLY $12!!
If you know me at all, you know that I am always one to tie my shirt in a knot. I find that it gives your outfit a little more character without having to change the look. I ordered this romper in a size small, and found that it fit just a tad big, if your looking to order I would say it runs large so make sure and size down one. To finish this look, I paired it with black wedges and of course had to add some bright pink earrings.
Funny story, as I mentioned earlier I am in the moving process and everything seems to be everywhere. Last weekend when I was leaving Lubbock I realized I had forgot my straighter/curling iron at home. I started to freak out wondering how I was going to fix my hair without it. Thankfully I brought my entire bag of recently purchased Ulta products with me. In my bag was a Sea Salt spray that I wasn't sure I was going to like. So I started thinking of ideas on how to style my hair, I came to a conclusion that I would wash my hair and leave it in a braid over night. I'm sure you've heard off that hair hack before, it does give you good waves. But this time I sprayed my braid with Bumble and Bumble Sea Salt Spray. It took me about five minutes the next day to style my hair, After I took out my braid the next morning I had the perfect beach waved hair that surprisingly lasted all night long! This hair style with definitely be repeated throughout the summer.

Thanks so much for coming by and reading todays post. Look forward to chatting next week!

Before I go I want to give a very special birthday shoutout to my first bonus child, Wyatt Steele Franks. Today the big boy turns three years old and I am so grateful to be apart of his life, I cannot wait to continue to watch him learn and grow. I'll love you every step of the way! HAPPY BIRTHDAY WYWOO!!

Engagment Story

Calvin and I landed in San Diego, California Wednesday evening and headed straight to our destination in La Jolla, a small tourist town right outside of San Diego. I was so ready to go down to the beach and relax but Calvin insisted that we get ready for dinner and then go to the beach. I asked Calvin what should I wear something casual or dressy he says he’s going to dress casual so I’m thinking dinner is nothing fancy and we are just going to go down to the beach and watch the sunset before dinner. We get down to the “spot” right off the La Jolla cove, this view is amazing!! I see stairs and immediately want to go down but Calvin insisted again that we should go where there is less people, so he starts walking towards people?? Half way to the bridge where he wants to go he then stops and says wait lets go back so there we go turning around going down to the same stairs I had originally said lets go to. Little did I know that he was trying to figure out the spot the p...

Grateful for Twenty-Three

Good Morning Loves! Today's my BIRTHDAY, I am turning 23 years old the oldest I've ever been! Seem like now-a-days the years just keep going by faster, but I am thankful to have lived another one. This morning I am celebrating with my family and three banana pancakes, from the best granny. To continue the celebration Calvin and I are headed to San Antonio this weekend. I am so excited to have a fulfilled weekend with him doing some of my favorite things. Thursday we plan on going out on the town for a little dancing, Friday we are floating the river, and Saturday calls for a relaxing spa day.  This shoot has to be one of my favorites, we took these pictures at a local Ice Cream Shop Holly Hops. What's a better way to celebrate your birthday than with some cake batter ice cream?! SOO DELICIOUS! Todays outfit is so fun and bright. Who else loves wearing yellow in the summer? Brings out your tan, even if you don't have one. LOL Hoping to add some color to me t...

The Comparison Trap

Good Morning and Happy Labor Day! Holy cow can you believe it’s already September and fall and Christmas are just around thing corner! It honestly makes me so excited I love the holidays and getting to decorate the house for the season.   So for the past few weeks I have been posting a Motivation Monday quote on my Instagram story, a little something for you to look at throughout the week and remind yourself to keep going and being positive. Life is not always easy but sometimes all you need is a little reminder for you to realize how blessed you are and be thankful for what you have around you. Yesterday I woke up and was determined to watch church, so I googled church online and the first one that popped up was Life.Church. It was 9:30 and church started at 10, perfect timing. The service was so good and uplifting for me. So today I’m going to share with you that exact message that God sent to me.  The Comparison Trap Being Content with your l...
