An Open Letter To My Little Brother On His Graduation Day

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you. Declares the Lord. “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”

To My Bubba:

Tomorrow’s the Big Day! The day you’ve been waiting for, twelve years down the road. I bet you’re a little nervous right about now, tomorrow you’ll be walking the stage with your fellow classmates. This week has been special, getting to celebrate with all your close friends your High School Graduation, only happens once. As you sit there tomorrow waiting for your name to be called, remember all the time you had with everyone. Being from a small town we all have known each other since pre-school just about. Remember all the good and bad times, remember who has been there with you through it all, but more importantly remember how you got here. Hard work, Dedication and Determination.

CONGRATULATIONS:

High School is not always the easiest; well after being a college student I might beg to differ. Lol But I know it hasn’t always been easy for you bubba, there were times when you probably thought about dropping out. After tomorrow you can finally look back and say "I did it", especially to the ones who doubted you! You’re now on the road to building a future for you and your beautiful family.

I AM HAPPY FOR YOU:

As your big sister, there have been times that I've stressed over you more than I've stressed over myself. Watching you grow over the years has shown me that you are ready for whatever life must give you. Even if it’s a newborn baby your senior year of high school. You are an amazing dad and my niece is so in love with you. I am happy that you have made it to graduation, not only for you but for your daughter.

I AM PROUD OF YOU:

I will always be your number one supporter. No matter what life throws at you, remember that I am always here for you. Nothing that you do could ever make me not like you. I am so excited to see what the future holds for you. Most of all I am so proud of you for Graduating!

I LOVE YOU:

You have the softest heart, but also strong willed and that is what will get you anywhere if you just believe in yourself. We all have a bond together that can not be broken. When you love what you have, you have everything you need. I love you to the moon and back, don’t ever forget it.

ENJOY THE JOURNEY:

This is the beginning of anything you want. Remember that every accomplishment starts with the decision to try. Whatever you decide to do, make sure it makes you happy. This is not your ending  bubba,  just a new chapter to add to your book.

“Greet the future with anticipation, dream big & work hard. Remember your roots, manners and the way home.”
XOXO- Your Big Sister, Katherine

Engagment Story

Calvin and I landed in San Diego, California Wednesday evening and headed straight to our destination in La Jolla, a small tourist town right outside of San Diego. I was so ready to go down to the beach and relax but Calvin insisted that we get ready for dinner and then go to the beach. I asked Calvin what should I wear something casual or dressy he says he’s going to dress casual so I’m thinking dinner is nothing fancy and we are just going to go down to the beach and watch the sunset before dinner. We get down to the “spot” right off the La Jolla cove, this view is amazing!! I see stairs and immediately want to go down but Calvin insisted again that we should go where there is less people, so he starts walking towards people?? Half way to the bridge where he wants to go he then stops and says wait lets go back so there we go turning around going down to the same stairs I had originally said lets go to. Little did I know that he was trying to figure out the spot the p...

Home Decor

JANUARY HOME DECOR   Hola F riends! Happy Friday!! Today I am sharing a few home décor items that I have decorated the house with lately.. starting with the fact that everything I have linked is pretty much under $20! Anyone else feel like their house looks so empty without Christmas décor everywhere?! In our house we basically have two living rooms, one we use as a tv room and the other has been completely empty until now. Calvin got me couches for Christmas and I put our Christmas tree up in there this year so its slowly starting to look like a 'living room'. Living in a small town there are not many options to shop home décor. Believe it or not I get most of my home décor from our store in Fort Stockton, TX Ace Home Center and Dollar General! You'd be so surprised on what you can find and how affordable it is. Everything I have pictured is linked and you can shop instantly through this page. I'm still slowly adding more décor to our front living room so stay tu...
