Happy Mothers Day

Hey Friends! Happy Mothers Day weekend! I can finally say I have successfully completed another semester at Texas Tech University. HELLO SUMMER!! I am so ready for the road trips, river floats, and tan skin. Sometimes a break from your routine is the very thing you need. I've had my moments were I just wanted to give up this semester and quit but thank God who kept me going and continues to push me to follow my dreams everyday. In honor of the special holiday weekend, I want to share with you an appreciation post dedicated to my mom.
I know I say this a lot but my mom is a super mom, I'm not sure how she keeps up with 6 kids and manages to make sure we are all happy, but she does. Although my list could go on forever I'm going to share with you 5 things I admire about my mother.
  • 1. Patience: Being a mother of six has to be tough but somehow mom has always been able to accept all of our delays, problems, up and downs without giving up on any of us.
  • 2. Organization: I will sometimes complain about having an OCD problem but I have to be thankful, my mom has always taught me to be organized with my house, closet, and life in general.
  • 3. Unconditional Love: Thank you mom for always showing us a kind of love that no one can replace. She has always taught us to love with our entire hearts, not just a tiny slice of it. Fill up your cup so it can flow over to others.
  • 4. Understanding: I can always talk to my mom about anything and everything. She's the best listener even if she doesn't want to hear about the situation. She has the best words and can always make my day better by just being there for me.
  • 5. Encouraging: If there's anyone that pushes me to follow my dreams and push me, its defiantly my mother. No matter what I do in life mom is always there to encourage me to do better and keep moving forward.
To My Mother: YOU are AMAZING and STRONG and BRAVE and WONDERFUL. Remember THAT today! Thank you for looking into me and seeing something worth believing in, long before I believed in myself.
  • Like a Map, You help me find my way
  • Like the Ocean, You're always there
  • Like a Nurse, You take care of what hurts
  • Like a Library, You share your knowledge
  • Like a Tissue, You dry my tears
  • Like a Superhero, You can save the day
  • Like Legs, You allow me to stand on my own two feet
  • Like a Therapist, You always listen
  • Like no one else, You love me
  • Like Home, You are where my heart is
Don't forget this Sunday to say thank you to that special mom in your life, whether it be your biological mom, step mom, grandma, aunt, or caregiver.

It means so much to me that you stopped by today! I hope you've enjoyed your morning without an alarm.
Weekend Vibes: make it a priority to smile and enjoy life, tomorrow is never promised.

I LOVE YOU MOM.

XOXO- Katherine

An Open Letter To My Little Brother On His Graduation Day

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you. Declares the Lord. “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” To My Bubba: Tomorrow’s the Big Day! The day you’ve been waiting for, twelve years down the road. I bet you’re a little nervous right about now, tomorrow you’ll be walking the stage with your fellow classmates. This week has been special, getting to celebrate with all your close friends your High School Graduation, only happens once. As you sit there tomorrow waiting for your name to be called, remember all the time you had with everyone. Being from a small town we all have known each other since pre-school just about. Remember all the good and bad times, remember who has been there with you through it all, but more importantly remember how you got here. Hard work, Dedication and Determination.  CONGRATULATIONS: High School is not always the easiest; well after being a college student I might beg to differ. L...

Grateful for Twenty-Three

Good Morning Loves! Today's my BIRTHDAY, I am turning 23 years old the oldest I've ever been! Seem like now-a-days the years just keep going by faster, but I am thankful to have lived another one. This morning I am celebrating with my family and three banana pancakes, from the best granny. To continue the celebration Calvin and I are headed to San Antonio this weekend. I am so excited to have a fulfilled weekend with him doing some of my favorite things. Thursday we plan on going out on the town for a little dancing, Friday we are floating the river, and Saturday calls for a relaxing spa day.  This shoot has to be one of my favorites, we took these pictures at a local Ice Cream Shop Holly Hops. What's a better way to celebrate your birthday than with some cake batter ice cream?! SOO DELICIOUS! Todays outfit is so fun and bright. Who else loves wearing yellow in the summer? Brings out your tan, even if you don't have one. LOL Hoping to add some color to me t...
