Hola
Amigos! Happy FriYAY! Hope everyone has had an amazing week, I feel like it
just flew by. Seemed like there was so much I had to get done this week and
then bam its Friday. Just remember better days are coming, they are called
Saturday and Sunday! This weekend I will be spending time in my home town,
celebrating and hanging out with the family. Yesterday evening my Aunt gave
birth to her first baby girl and I have to say I am so ready to meet her and
take a million pictures. Today I am excited to share with y'all the cutest top
just in time for Cinco de Mayo weekend.
How
fun is this multi-colored, off shoulder top? I always love when an entertaining
holiday comes around it makes it that much more fun shopping for an outfit.
This top is under $20 and is perfect for any summer event. I'm loving all the
vibrant colored stripes, the fact that its flowy and lightweight! I would say
this top is true to size, I am wearing my normal size small.
Pictured
above is my BFF/Roomie, She's usually the one taking my pictures for me but
this week I wanted to do something a little special and have a fun shoot with
her in it. That it definitely was, we had such a great time trying to pose each
other and act like we know what we are doing! lol Next week is her 22nd
Birthday and I can't wait to celebrate.
In
honor of celebrating the Cinco de Mayo holiday, I want to share with y'all one
of my go to Mexican drinks. An ice cold Michelada "Red Beer". If
you're a fan of savory, spicy and tart at the same time, this cool refreshment
will unquestionably be one of your new favorites.
MICHELADA RECIPE:
Ingredients
- Mexican lager beer (Modelo is my favorite)
- Clamato (tomato juice) or Zing-Zang
- 3-4 splashes hot sauce, more or less to taste
- 2 splashes of Worcestershire sauce
- 2 splashes of Maggi sauce (or soy sauce)
- Juice of one lime
- Tajín seasoning (or salt) for the rim
Instructions
- Take about a tablespoon of Tajín (or salt) and sprinkle it on a small plate. Rub a slice of lime around the rim of the glass and then press the rim in the Tajín to salt the rim.
- Fill the glass about ¼ to ⅓ with the Clamato juice. Add the hot sauce, the lime juice, the Worcestershire sauce, and the soy sauce. If you used Tajín to salt the rim, pour any excess from the plate into the glass.\
- Fill the rest with cold beer.
- Garnish with a slice of lime and enjoy!
So glad you stopped by today! I'll be sending all the positive vibes
your way and hoping that you get to get your fiesta on this weekend!
XOXO- Katherine
