Cinco de Mayo

Hola Amigos! Happy FriYAY! Hope everyone has had an amazing week, I feel like it just flew by. Seemed like there was so much I had to get done this week and then bam its Friday. Just remember better days are coming, they are called Saturday and Sunday! This weekend I will be spending time in my home town, celebrating and hanging out with the family. Yesterday evening my Aunt gave birth to her first baby girl and I have to say I am so ready to meet her and take a million pictures. Today I am excited to share with y'all the cutest top just in time for Cinco de Mayo weekend.

How fun is this multi-colored, off shoulder top? I always love when an entertaining holiday comes around it makes it that much more fun shopping for an outfit. This top is under $20 and is perfect for any summer event. I'm loving all the vibrant colored stripes, the fact that its flowy and lightweight! I would say this top is true to size, I am wearing my normal size small.
Pictured above is my BFF/Roomie, She's usually the one taking my pictures for me but this week I wanted to do something a little special and have a fun shoot with her in it. That it definitely was, we had such a great time trying to pose each other and act like we know what we are doing! lol Next week is her 22nd Birthday and I can't wait to celebrate.
In honor of celebrating the Cinco de Mayo holiday, I want to share with y'all one of my go to Mexican drinks. An ice cold Michelada "Red Beer". If you're a fan of savory, spicy and tart at the same time, this cool refreshment will unquestionably be one of your new favorites.
MICHELADA RECIPE:
Ingredients
  • Mexican lager beer (Modelo is my favorite)
  • Clamato (tomato juice) or Zing-Zang
  • 3-4 splashes hot sauce, more or less to taste
  • 2 splashes of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 splashes of Maggi sauce (or soy sauce)
  • Juice of one lime
  • Tajín seasoning (or salt) for the rim
Instructions
  • Take about a tablespoon of Tajín (or salt) and sprinkle it on a small plate. Rub a slice of lime around the rim of the glass and then press the rim in the Tajín to salt the rim.
  • Fill the glass about ¼ to ⅓ with the Clamato juice. Add the hot sauce, the lime juice, the Worcestershire sauce, and the soy sauce. If you used Tajín to salt the rim, pour any excess from the plate into the glass.\
  • Fill the rest with cold beer.
  • Garnish with a slice of lime and enjoy!

So glad you stopped by today! I'll be sending all the positive vibes your way and hoping that you get to get your fiesta on this weekend!
XOXO- Katherine

Home Decor

JANUARY HOME DECOR   Hola F riends! Happy Friday!! Today I am sharing a few home décor items that I have decorated the house with lately.. starting with the fact that everything I have linked is pretty much under $20! Anyone else feel like their house looks so empty without Christmas décor everywhere?! In our house we basically have two living rooms, one we use as a tv room and the other has been completely empty until now. Calvin got me couches for Christmas and I put our Christmas tree up in there this year so its slowly starting to look like a 'living room'. Living in a small town there are not many options to shop home décor. Believe it or not I get most of my home décor from our store in Fort Stockton, TX Ace Home Center and Dollar General! You'd be so surprised on what you can find and how affordable it is. Everything I have pictured is linked and you can shop instantly through this page. I'm still slowly adding more décor to our front living room so stay tu

5 Different ways to Style A T-Shirt Dress

5 Ways To Style A T-Shirt Dress Hey Hey, How are you guys today?! I am feeling very blessed to have survived another great week. I thought I would be getting a break from school and have time to myself this week but that didn't happen. School ends and work calls. I have been so busy it seems this week and I am so ready for a little down time this weekend with the boyfriend. Hoping to get a little shopping done and maybe have a margarita or two! This week I want to share with you several ways to style a t-shirt dress. I love being able to wear the same thing and not feeling like I just wore that outfit. ONE First off I am loving this t-shirt dress. You can seriously wear so many ways, dress up or down depending on your occasion. This particular dress I found is from Forever 21 , super comfy and soft. I love that it's the perfect length. I'm a sucker for neutral colors and stripes. My first look shows the dress styled by itself, effortless and cute.  T
